Cisco just reported a tough quarter, the latest sign of an incumbent struggling to adapt to a world of cloud computing, mobility, sensors, and lots of cheap competition. In an interview, John Chambers, Cisco’s chief executive, pointed to a number Wall Street didn’t hear that gave him confidence about his strategy.
