Verizon’s headline pre-Black Friday deal is here, and it’s offering a free 10th-gen iPad 10.9 and a free 2nd-gen Apple Watch SE. These freebies alone are worth $780 by themselves, so this is a significant addition to the host of already awesome trade-in rebates on the iPhone 15 series. The caveat here, however, is that you’ll still need an unlimited data plan to be eligible for this saving. View Deal

Apple iPhone 15 Pro: up to $1,000 off with a trade-in, plus free iPad and Apple Watch at Verizon

Note, this promo is only eligible with a new line on an unlimited data plan (upgraders can get up to $830 off).View Deal

Apple iPhone 14 Plus: get four devices with an unlimited data plan for $120 per month at Verizon
Verizon’s latest promotion offers four iPhone 14 Plus handsets for just $40 each – and that’s with a line on an unlimited data plan. Previously, an iPhone 14 Plus bundled with a single line would have cost close to $100 by itself, so you get some incredible savings here.View Deal

Various tech products surround the TechRadar Black Friday deals logo

Thanks for joining us and welcome to TechRadar’s live coverage of this year’s Black Friday deals.

I’m James Pickard, Senior Deals Editor at TechRadar, and I’m here to guide you through all the best offers so you can bag a bargain between every turkey leg, touchdown or tantrum this Thanksgiving.

There are thousands of offers out there so I’ve pooled together my own experience of covering Black Friday for almost a decade (yikes), along with all the big brain tech experts across the site, to ensure you only hear about the very best Black Friday deals.

I’ll keep things varied, with recommendations on everything from cheap smart home tech and toys to high-end OLED TVs and Apple devices. No matter what’s on your shopping list – or if you’re just here for a cheeky little browse – I’ll do my best to find a deal for you.

Let’s get into it!

How are these still available? When Walmart teased that it would offer the Apple AirPods Pro 2 for their lowest ever price during Black Friday, myself and basically everyone here on team TechRadar expected them to sell out lightning-fast. Well, to our amazement, they’re still here.

So, if you want to get yourself a pair of Apple’s best earbuds then get yourself over to Walmart sharpish to avoid missing out. I’m still refreshing the store page regularly expecting to see them sold out at any minute. As we get nearer and nearer to Black Friday this seems more and more likely. Don’t dawdle!

Apple AirPods Pro 2: was $249 now $169 at Walmart
The AirPods Pro 2 are a Black Friday bestseller, and Walmart will have the lowest price we’ve ever seen on November 22. Rated as one of the best earbuds you can buy, the AirPods Pro 2 feature active noise cancellation to block out unwanted noise, improved audio quality, and a wireless charging case that provides more than 24 hours of battery life. We predict this will sell out at some point over Black Friday so best not to wait around if you want a pair of Apple’s top earbuds.View Deal

The Nintendo Switch is always a big item during the Black Friday sales and everyone is on the hunt for a bargain for the iconic games console. But Nintendo has taken the stress out of it recently as it’s launched the same excellent value bundle for the last few years. And, surprising no one, it’s back again for 2023.

You can now get a Nintendo Switch console, a digital copy of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and a 3-month Switch Online membership for $299 at Amazon. This represents a saving of around $70 compared to buying all three separately so it’s excellent value for money if you are looking to buy the popular Nintendo console for the holidays.

Black Friday live blog top tips banner

If you’re stuck deciding between wireless headphones and earbuds this Black Friday then Becky Scarrott, our Senior Audio Staff Writer, is here to offer some top tips that should help you make a decision.

She’s been testing all types of headphones for nearly six years now, and these are the four questions you need to ask yourself:

1. Do you commute regularly? And if so, do you prefer to pack light? Because if you use public transport and you want over-ears, you’ll also need a nice big rucksack or backpack capable of accommodating the case – leaving said case at home is the quickest route to damaged headphones. A set of earbuds, meanwhile, will slip straight into your pocket.

2. Do you dislike the thought of something sticking into your outer ear canal? Because earbuds do this (some admittedly more than others) and although most of us get used to it, others find it invasive and would rather stick to something that sits around the whole ear. On the flip side, perhaps you tend to overheat on public transport – particularly if you have had to run for the bus – and red sweaty ears are not the best look for the office.

3. ANC: how important is it to you? A few years ago, I’d have said over-ear is the way to go for top-notch noise-cancellation, but the tech’s improved so much now that the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds or JBL Live Pro 2 can match any set of cans for noise-nixing, and that’s just for starters.

4. What about sound quality? Again, even 18 months ago I’d have said over-ears will trounce earbuds for sonic nuance, expanse, immersive wizardry and detail. But the driver tech that can now be squirrelled into even the smallest earbuds (Sony WF-C700N and Technics EAH-AZ80, I’m looking at you) is so good now that I take it all back. That said, do think about the type of sound you want, and read our review of the product you’ve got your eye on – we don’t pull our punches there.

And speaking of those headphones deals…

The Sony WH-1000XM5 are some of the world’s best noise-canceling headphones: combining looks, Sony’s excellent technology, and top sound quality. They’re now on offer for just $328 at Amazon. But hurry – they’re selling like hotcakes.

This outrageous deal represents their lowest-ever price across trusted online retailers and it is live now for Black Friday. And remember, these are hands-down top-class Sony flagship cans – we saw them drop briefly to this price on November 3 and thought this particular flash deal had faded back to the ether. Now, it’s back.

As we said in our five-star review of the Sony WH-1000XM5, you’re getting excellent noise cancellation, a wonderful-sounding audio performance, smart ambient features, and an app you’ll actually want to use.

They’re quite simply the complete package and we think that anyone searching for the best noise-cancelling headphones money can buy should consider the Sony WH-1000XM5, especially with this significant discount.

Sony WH-1000XM5: was $399.99 now $328 at Amazon
Quite simply, the newest and best in Sony’s class-leading wireless over-ear lineup. If it’s the best noise cancelation you want (and excellent sound and smart features), you can’t do better, as our full Sony WH-1000XM5 review makes clear. Have we seen them this cheap before? Nope. Today’s Black Friday deal is a record-low price.View Deal

How’s the prep going for today? I appreciate it’s still quite early for a lot of you but I hope everything’s going to plan so far and you’ve not run into any disasters.

My fantasy football lineup is set and I’m ready to watch the Lions most likely destroy the Packers today. If Gibbs gets a TD or two that’ll be great as well.

Anyway, this is supposed to be about tech deals, right? I’ve got some coming up, including some spectacular TVs to watch the football on. 🏈 🙌

Just recently, we honoured the Samsung S90C OLED with the TechRadar Choice Award for the year’s best TV – and it now sits proudly in the number one spot in our best TV guide. And, would you look at that, it’s now available for its cheapest price ever in this year’s Black Friday deals. So, I’ve gone and bought it.

I’ve had this TV for almost two weeks now and I’m mightily impressed. It made Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse absolutely sparkle and fully brought out all the stunning visual flourishes of that animated opus.

The S90C has been a star when it comes to gaming, too. It’s ably heightened the creepy visuals and unsettling woodlands of the American Northwest in Alan Wake 2 to make that experience even more immersive. And the brilliantly bizarre musical interlude was even more triumphant on the big screen.

If you also fancy adding this beastly display to your living room or gaming den then you can now get it for its lowest price at Samsung.

Samsung 65-inch S90C Smart UHD 4K OLED TV: was $2,499.99 now $1,599.99 at Samsung
The S90C is our best-rated OLED TV and a TechRadar Choice award winner – and it’s down to a record-low price of $1,599.99 at Amazon. Don’t be mistaken in thinking this is the inferior set, however, as it’s still one of the best OLEDs you can buy right now. Our Samsung S90C review awarded this one five stars out of five, praising its gorgeous picture and gaming features. It’s not as bright as the 95C, and its sound is a little weaker also, but it’s a fantastic choice in its own right that anyone would be happy to have in their living room. Other sizes are also available from $1,299.99.View Deal
