Facebook’s Silicon Valley campus given all clear after suspected sarin exposure

Facebook’s Menlo Park campus in Silicon Valley has reportedly been given the all clear after fears of a sarin exposure yesterday led to the evacuation of several buildings.

Menlo Park’s city fire marshal Jon Johnston told Reuters that exhaustive tests of the site had found no traces of toxic material, including of the deadly nerve agent sarin.

“There is no sarin,” Johnston told the news agency.

The scare started after automatic detectors used to spot dangerous chemicals and substances in Facebook’s mailing facility set off the alarm. Two individuals working at the facility were put under observation, reported Business Insider, but showed no signs of symptoms.
