Microsoft’s search for a new leader appears to be focusing increasingly on an internal candidate from the company, including Satya Nadella, a longtime executive who has led the company’s cloud computing initiatives. But the company’s board has not decided yet on a replacement for the departing chief executive, Steven A. Ballmer, according to people briefed on the discussions.
